Just in time for the arrival of Tygers 4: Sweet Awakening. I've had a very nasty upper respiratory infection for the past week, and have spent most of my time sleeping. The fever broke on Sunday, though, and today I feel like I might live. Hopefully.
Which is a good thing, since I can come by and tell you about Tygers 4: Sweet Awakening. It released today from Loose Id, and is a different sort of Tygers book. This one is a m/f/m menage, and begins in Albuquerque, but goes to the Caribbean, and a BDSM resport called Paragon's.
I had a great deal of fun writing it, and I can't wait to hear what y'all have to say about it. I'm anxious about this one, since it features two Doms and a sub, and I wanted a good relationship between the three of them. So, after you read it, please let me know what you think. Thanks as always for sticking around for the fun! I have some book news, too, that I'll post tomorrow.... just to get you to come back.
Take care!

Just finished Sweet Awakening and it was a lot of fun. I thought the three-way arrangement worked very well (even if I would've liked to've seen Oscar and Walker getting it on at some point [heavy, theatrical sigh]) and didn't think it was too unbalanced at all. Having Walker be the one who snapped at her once or twice, and having Oscar be the one who asked her if she wanted to safeword that one time, balanced things nicely I thought; it showed her that they weren't so different, that each man was complex, with a blend of the same characteristics. They were proportioned differently, which makes things interesting, but Walker wasn't just "the nice one" and Oscar wasn't just "the mean one." That worked for me.
I have to say that f/f does nothing for me, but that one scene worked well within the context of the story and I didn't mind it at all. Mistress Megan was a fun character, and it was a good push for Harper, a very pointed device for making her push her boundaries. (Although on page 139, Megan turns into Mandy, and then back to Megan on page 140. Oops? Or did I misunderstand something?)
Doing my usual speculation about who's next :) it looks like you're setting up something with Helena and T.K., although it's hard to tell because she's been established as such a flirt and not someone who's looking to settle down at all. Of course, that's often a good reason to put someone in a romance story -- you know they'll do some kicking before they accept their fate. [grin]
I think Helena would be a good candidate too because she has a lot of potential for character development. When Harper was telling the boys about her first BDSM experience, I wanted to find Helena just so I could smack her. :/ Helena knows BDSM is all about trust -- she even told Harper that. So she takes her nervous, uptight baby sister, who's not only a BDSM virgin but who's never had an orgasm ever, and hands her over to this asshat who doesn't bother to talk to her, doesn't bother to find out what she likes or what turns her on, apparently doesn't even bother to explain to her about safewords...? [facepalm] Good grief! As experienced as she was, Helena should've known better. The fact that she'd do that says to me that as much as she loves her sister, she's still thoughtless and focused a bit too much on herself. She might well have enjoyed playing with the guy (I hope she'd played with him herself and had a good time) but she clearly didn't stop to think about what Harper needed in her first dom.
Although the whole thing with Guest wasn't Helena's fault, it'd still pretty much have to make her pause and think about her own character judgement. It could put her into a thoughtful mood in general, which could settle her down just enough without changing her essentially fun and sexy character, if you wanted to take her that way.
Just pondering with my keyboard, though -- one of the hazards of being a writer myself, I go chasing what-ifs with plot and character. It'll be interesting to see where you go next with the Tygers series, and I'm sure it'll be fun whatever you do. :)
And thanks for the mention! That was incredibly cool. [beam/hugz]

Thanks Angie! As always, you've hit on a lot of the things I wanted people to notice, like pulling Harper out of her comfort zone with Mistress Megan (faceplam on mistake...groan), and noticing that Helena was the one who put Harper into the bad BDSM situation at first.
Yes, Helena is the subject of a future book, not sure which one yet, but she does need to take a look at herself and realize that she's gone off te deep end. And I think T.K. will help her with that.
That in itself goes a long way to just how much Helena let slide about BDSM, which set her up for her troubles.
As always, your comments are appreciated and well thought out. Thanks for reading, and for enjoying. I'm doing something different before going back to Tygers ... I hope you enjoy it, too, because it's ... gasp.... m/m/f, LOL.
m/m/f
Yay! :D
Angie
m/m/f ... I thought you might like that, Angie! This is going to be a great book!
