For your reading pleasure. Sweet Silence came out on Tuesday, but as usual, I'm a day late (OK, two) and a dollar short, as the old saying goes.
I'm busy working on several things, trying to get them done before Christmas, they include final writes and edits on three stories, Wish Me up, Rub Me Down for Resplendence Publishing; Garden of Stone for Changeling Press; and Sweet Awakening for Loose Id.
That means for the next few weeks, the laptop and I will be very cozy together. I hope your holidays are going well and that you treat yourself to a break by reading Diego and Sorcha's story. Both of them are headstrong characters who mesh well together.
Enjoy!

I just finished Sweet Silence and liked it very much. The bondage was hot of course, but I particularly loved that Sorcha had a mind of her own and didn't always make the right decision, but she didn't stray over into too-stupid-to-live territory. Too often the Girl will do something incredibly moronic just to show the Guy that he can't tell her what to do or whatever, and that's always annoying. I was half expecting it in a couple of places, but you managed to walk just this side of the line with Sorcha -- she got into enough trouble to make the story interesting, but I never thought she was being a total idiot or anything while she did it. Great job. :D
I also like that they didn't get married at the end of the book. They hadn't really known each other that long, after all (the first bondage session back whenever hardly counts as getting to know one another) so the fact that they're living and working together is definitely enough for now. I can imagine them getting married in a year or three, or whenever suits them, but there's no reason to rush it. Again, good job.
Ward next? :)

Thanks so much, Angie. I'm glad you liked Sorcha and Diego's story.
I wanted Sorcha to be an independent woman who had been through a lot in her life, and didn't just give in to everything that came along. I also wanted her to be smart. Your comments let me know that I succeeded! Thanks so much.
My editor and I, and my crit partner, Maura, wavered on whether they should get married. We finally decided against, and I listed the same reasons you did. To me, marriage takes more time. They will be together, and will get married, just not yet, LOL.
The next contracted book in the series is Sweet Awakening, about a woman named Harper Sampson who comes to Diego's new business seeking help finding her sister, who disappeared about taking a trip to a BDSM resort.
This one is a m/f/m menage, and features one character who's already been introduced, Diego's partner Walker Bryant, and Walker's best friend, Oscar Ruiz, both of them dominants.
I have stories brewing for Ward, Maggie, Ty (with his Chess) and Dario, (not all of them together) so the "Sweet Series," which has officially been named the Tygers series by Loose Id, will continue during 2008.
Thanks again, Angie!
